DOCUMENTATION CENTER ON EL GRECO AND TOLEDO
The purpose of this Centre is to bring together all of the documentation relating to El Greco and his artistic output at a single archive, thus facilitating access to this material on the part of all kinds of users, based on the latest technological developments. In particular, the Centre shall endeavour to bring together the many documents that are preserved at different archives today, both in Toledo itself and beyond, which provide a rich and extremely interesting insight into the artist and his way of working. Another section of considerable interest concerns all matters relating to the cataloguing of the artist's work. It will also be entrusted with compiling the bibliography of the painter and of the city in which he resided and produced most of his work, a publication that will also be made available to interested members of the public.
